DUKUNGAN KELUARGA TERHADAP KONVERSI AGAMA STUDI KASUS KRISTEN KE ISLAM
This study investigates the role and impact of family support on non-Muslim individuals considering
converting to Islam. This research was carried out using qualitative methods, this research uses a case study
approach by presenting data from interviews, so that it can describe the reality behind the phenomena that
occur in the field in more depth, detail and completeness. The research results highlight that family support
plays an important role in individual decision making regarding religious conversion. Positive support from
family, friends, and community can facilitate the religious conversion process and help individuals overcome
challenges that may arise during a change of faith. In some cases, this support also provides a sense of
security and acceptance, which is important in building a new identity as a Muslim. However, this research
also reveals challenges, such as lack of understanding, that can impact the experience of individuals who
convert. Therefore, this study provides better insight into the role of family support in the religious
conversion process and underlines the importance of promoting interreligious dialogue and deeper
understanding within the family sphere. In conclusion, family support can have a significant impact on the
experience of individuals who convert to religion, both positively and negatively. Therefore, this research
explains the importance of the family in facilitating a peaceful and meaningful religious conversion process.
